Florida carries just 2 Cook Out restaurants, in Pensacola and Tallahassee. Both are Panhandle cities, and both sit closer to the Alabama and Georgia borders than to anywhere in peninsular Florida. Tallahassee serves Florida State and Florida A&M, and Pensacola covers the western end of the Panhandle near the Alabama line.

Nothing in the chain reaches further south. Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Miami and the whole peninsula have no Cook Out, so Florida functions as the southern boundary of a footprint that runs out of the Carolinas. Sides begin at $0.99, and all 36 milkshake flavors start at $2.79. Prices at the two Florida restaurants can differ slightly from each other.

Both open at 10:30 AM and serve the full menu until closing, which usually falls at 3 AM with Friday and Saturday running later. Tallahassee in particular sees the kind of late demand a university city generates.
